Add one more thing to the list that our children and grandchildren won't remember: pop tops, 8-track tapes, Hostess. (I realize you 20-year-olds have no idea what those first two on the list are. #imold)

The cookie recipe has a double shot of chocolate...and can be used for ANY cut-out cookie. My boys flipped over them!
Pop on over to Parade where I'm sharing the recipe, and my favorite Hostess memory.

These look amazing! I've printed the recipe and will definitely be trying these soon! Thank you so much for your amazing recipes...you are a talent!

Congratulations on being featured over at Parade Magazine food blog. What a cute post. Loved that you shared the story about *I can't read cursive*
ReplyDeleteI think one of the first things I baked (besides cookies) after finding your blog was to try your award winning hostess cupcake recipe, only I made a cake. I'm really excited to try this cookie recipe. What a great idea.
Yum!
ReplyDeleteI heart you
ReplyDeleteThis is genius!! I love to bake and be in the kitchen but as a fairly unimaginative, need-a-recipe kind of person, I am really amazed by other people's creativity. I've been wondering what recipe you'd use the chocolate glaze for and this is just awesome. I love that it's a cookie version and not cupcake. My son would love it even though he has no concept of Hostess! : )
ReplyDeleteThese look awesome!! I'm so sad that the cupcakes aren't waiting for me at the grocery store anymore- they were my favorite!
ReplyDeleteSO cute! I'm going to make these for my sister, who's so sad about the Hostess demise.
ReplyDeleteBridget,
ReplyDeleteI love these! I make the cupcakes and a cake version but I've gotta try your cookies.

ReplyDeleteThose are so cute! I bet my husband would love them.
ReplyDeleteThese are super cute. And don't worry, future generations will have Hostess! Hostess is in talks with several companies to sell off their snack cake business. We just have to be patient :)
ReplyDeleteThese sound amazing, Bridget! On my way to check out the recipe!
ReplyDeleteLove the cursive story ;) Just printed the recipe and can't wait to try it!
ReplyDeleteBridget!! Those are the cutest things I've ever seen! Well, besides every other cutest ever cookie that you come up with :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable! Kathy
ReplyDeleteI clicked over to the Parade site and see your story, but not the recipe? Is there somewhere else it's posted?
ReplyDeleteHey Lori!
DeleteParade changed up their website look and it seems the link to the recipe got lost in the process. I'll contact them and post an update when I have one. Thank you! :)
