I have no idea what to call this, but I like it . . . Works For Me Wednesday

I'm thinking of just re-titling this..."Longest Blog Post Title in History."

Anyhoo...I wanted to show you guys this handy-dandy measuring cup that works for me.

{Photo Credit: pamperedchef.com}

Why? Fill one end and it's perfect for liquids. Flip it and the other side is perfect for measuring solid, semi-solid and sticky stuff.

You know that stuff that is hard to measure....shortening, peanut butter, honey. Just fill it to the amount you need and just push it right out. Voila!

See...

Mine is from Pampered Chef...no, I don't sell PC, but I have seen them other places. Sur La Table carries a mini version! I still really don't know what to call it. A flip-able, measuring cup pusher-outer thingy. There...that's it.

{On a side note, any recipe that has both butter AND Crisco is good in my book. I'll share this with you later.}

Go on and check out the other Works For Me Wednesday tips at We Are THAT Family.

You can find Bake at 350's WFMW archives here. Next week's edition is "greatest hits."

  4. I'm going to try to sound all professional and call it the adjustable solid fats measuring device.

  5. I've had one of those for more than 10 years and I love it! I went to a PC "party" awhile ago and the consultant mentioned that it was one of their own products that wasn't recommended for the dishwasher - I put mine in all the time and it's still as good as new!

  8. I have 3 of them and couldn't bake without them. I used to hate measuring shortening and peanut butter, etc.

    I also happen to be a Pampered Chef Consultant (FYI I had these way before I signed up with them) It's funny I don't seem to sell a lot of these though.

    Another great use for them is if you don't like stuffing your turkey's but your stuffing in it and shoot it into your turkey :)

  32. I have one of these, too. Be careful if you put it in the diswasher. Mine is very hard to push up & down now. Seems the inside container is now too tight! I loved it when it worked for me. I love all Pampered Chef stuff and have a bunch. Some I loved so much I bought doubles of (no, I don't sell it, either). I may have to re-invest in another one of these Measure-All-Cups next time I am invited to a party...many of my cookie recipes call for butter flavored crisco or peanut butter and this was so handy to use!
