Little Sweet Pea

Our neighbors just had a baby girl, so we brought them a batch of sweet pea...or pea in the pod...cookies.
I guessed a blond-haired baby. The mom is blond and so is big sister, but when we delivered the cookies, we saw the baby is an adorable little redhead! Well, after the cookies are eaten, there won't be any evidence that I picked the wrong hair color. :)

I used AmeriColor Gourmet Writer food coloring pens to make the eyes and mouths on the cookies.

  2. Just adorable! A good friend just became a Grandma for the first time...twin girls! I would love to try to make these for her.Would you suggest putting the two faces where you put the peas, and put a pea in the center? Or just make the two head in the center of the pod?

  3. jlj....I would do exactly that; put the babies faces where the peas are and a pea in the middle. I made some for a rehearsal dinner with the bride and groom as 2 of the peas and positioned them that way. :)

  6. Jean...

My husband made that cookie cutter out of another one for me. I'm trying to talk him into going into the cookie cutter business. :) Anyone know a supplier for tin strips?!?!? ;)

  8. Bridget -- you can buy a cookie cutter maker and the tin strips that go with it on www.foosecookiecutters.com if you really do need some. I am about to order some so I'll let you know how they work. I'll have to give the pea pot a go! Thanks!

  19. Excellent post, and I agree with those comments above me. All is about good observations and you'll see the striking difference about it. I think we can't ignore the main version behind all this structure, this blog isn't bad but you can change the factor. j2j3
