These are a few of your favorite things...

How do I know that these are a few of YOUR favorite things?
lol set photo lolset2.jpg
Because they're a few of MY favorite things, and well, we're kindred spirits, aren't we?

Let's start with butter.

All good things start with butter.  (And maybe chocolate, but definitely butter.)

Land O' Lakes had a little webinar recently called "Kitchen Conversations," hosted by my friend, the reigning queen of butter, Ree Drummond.  You know, the Pioneer Woman.

Ree and a few other fabulous food bloggers (Brenda from A Farmgirl's Dabbles, Julie from The Little Kitchen, Sommer from A Spicy Perspective, and Maria from Two Peas and Their Pod) talked about food trends for 2013...a few highlights: meatballs & popcorn.  Can I tell you 2013 is going to be a great year for food?  (Isn't it already?)

OK...let's talk about more of our favorite things.  Butter...yes.  How about Le Creuset?  I dream about Le Creuset.  And, oh, kitchenware from Anthropolgie?  Yes, please!!!  Anthro!  Who loves Anthro?

Here are the giveaway deets:
See?  I knew these were your favorite things.

  2. I just bought the Land O Lakes half stick butter this past weekend. Haven't tried them yet but bought them to use for cookies! (I am in love with the bowl and measuring spoons!!!)

    ReplyDelete
  3. I haven't tried the half sticks, but I think it would look better if my butter didn't disappear a whole stick at a time. That butter dish is super cute!

    ReplyDelete
  4. I have never used Land O Lakes half sticks, but if I had the Le Creuset skillet, I would certainly start using them.

  6. I've actually never tried Land O' Lakes because I've never seen it where I live... but olive oil and sea salt butter sounds awesome!! I've never had flavored butter except garlic butter.

And you were right, these ARE some of my favorite things :)

  7. I use Land O Lakes half sticks all the time.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I have bought the half sticks! It's great since unless i'm baking, we don't go through a ton of butter day to day, so the rest stays nicely wrapped up, waiting for me to bake!

    ReplyDelete
  9. I do love Land O'Lakes butter! I use it almost exclusively in baking and cooking. But nothing, nothing is better than a warm bagel with a generous portion of Land O'Lakes butter spread over the top. But, from the stick! When the butter is soft enough to spread, but firm enough to leave little lumps of butter hidden away in little bites as I eat my bagel. Love, love, love Land O'Lakes butter! Yum! -Stephenie

  10. I love Land O Lakes butter! I only buy that brand. I have not tried the half sticks only because our commissary is limited to what we can get over here.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I do use the Land O Lakes Half Sticks. I always buy extra for baking. The half sticks store easily in the freezer/ fridge and work well measuring for baking.

  46. I had a coupon for LOL half sticks plus they were on sale so I picked some up last week. I was using a recipe that called for a 1/4 cup of butter and I loved that I could just reach in the fridge and snatch out that exact amount - no lobbing off a piece of butter. Very convenient!

  181. Yes, I have quite by accident when I picked up the wrong package, but I must say, the smaller portions work out just great, and no more wrapping up a half stick!

  182. Land o Lakes unsalted is my go-to butter. But I love Cabot too.

  183. I have used the half sticks before. I like having room temperature butter for spreading on toast, bagels, muffins, biscuits, etc., but I don't always use a whole stick fast enough before it starts getting, for lack of a better term, weird. The half sticks are perfect for that. I will have to try to olive oil/sea salt one though. That sounds tasty! Especially on warm foccacia or something...oh man!

  184. Land O' Lakes is the only butter I buy/use. The half sticks are so handy!

  188. I have used Land O'Lakes butter, but never the half sticks.

  189. I've never used half sticks because I use so much butter when I bake, but that might be a good idea for leaving butter out soft for bread...

  190. I've never used the half sticks but it would be a nice size for the two of us.
    Thanks for the giveaway.

  192. I love the half sticks! I hate having to re wrap a bigger stick of butter so the half ones are just the right size!

  193. Never tried it...I do like the convenience of the half-sticks.

  194. I've never used Land O Lakes. I usually get my butter at Costco! That skillet is calling my name, though. :)

  195. I've never even heard of the 1/2 sticks but I LOVE Land O'Lakes butter...as a MN native, it's a staple. I'm going to have to give these little guys a try!

  197. I've never even heard of half-sticks, but they sound like they'd be convenient. I really only use butter for baking and the rest sits around in the refrigerator for a while.

  198. I haven't used the half sticks, but I enjoy their full size butter.

  199. I haven't. I usually try to get the most cost-efficient butter...
