I just blogged to say I love you (Vol. 1)

{We're (ok, I'm) trying a little something new around here...a round-up of good stuff from the internets and beyond.  I'll be posting round-ups every so often because once a week would require me to be organized.} ;)

1. You know when you see something wonderful and it makes you a little teary?  Check out this video of my friend Amy's daughter singing "Hit Me with your Best Shot." Hope and her guitar-playing friend have some major talent.  I'll be first in line for their CD.

2. I've been on an ice cream kick for the last couple of weeks, and seeing THIS ice cream from Jessica did not help.  I seriously MUST have this.

3. These shoes (in red)...can't stop thinking about them.

4. So, high temperatures are still around 90 in these parts, but I AM ready for fall...and fall flavors.  I've been dreaming of this cake from Jenna.  I predict it will make an appearance in my kitchen next week.  (And then I will devour it...in 24 hours flat.)

5. Man-pleaser Salad...it's a woman-pleaser, too...I think you'll want to try it.  And if you can get your hands on some Rogue Creamery blue cheese, all the better.

6. THESE COOKIES ARE AMAZING!!! (Yada-yada)

7. I dare you to read this post from Robyn and not cry.

8. Finally, I tested a swipe of dark grey polish on my nail at Target last week (yes, I'm that person), and when we got home, I couldn't not stop staring at it.  I told Mr. E, "I feel so goth with this polish."  He immediately replied, "YOU could never be goth."  Sounds kinda like a challenge to me. ;)

What have you been loving this week?

  3. My husband said the same thing about the grey polish I put on... I grab the $1 bottle from Target (the NYC brand), so I don't worry about only wearing it a few times. But after the first week it was hard to go back to clear or sheer pink. :) Rock on with your goth self! Oh and get the red shoes, those are killer and totally not goth. :)

  4. Those eats all look delicious, and I'm all about the gray polish as we head into fall! I'm actually wearing Sephora by OPI's Metro Chic as I type (and likely am chipping with said typing...) and I love it. It makes me feel a little rebellious, too, but it's work appropriate and not too dramatic. Sort of like me. :) Heh!

  7. Love this round-up; I've been meaning to start doing something like this on my blog as well.
P.S. I think you may have incorrectly numbered your photos--they don't correspond with what you wrote :)

  9. The largest number of designer leather Ferragamo Handbag made broadband. This can be leather from different animals, though many designer bags are made of high quality leather various animals, such as reptiles, alligator, cow, and any other type of animal. Many designer Ferragamo Outlet are handmade, are made so that they need more time. Handmade bags are more durable compared to crafted bags. As a result, more time is needed to produce such bags for businesses that involve a lot of human labor and natural materials. Thus, the price of a bag is justified.

  12. I LOVE the title of your new feature and you certainly shared with us some wonderful favourites of what you found on the internet. Robyn's post is beautiful and Amy's daughter and her guitarist are a very talented(and adorable) pair of musicians! Enjoyed the video of Amy and her Dad too. Seinfeld cookies...what's not to love :)

  14. I did cry when I read Robyn's post. It was truly lovely.

Please continue with your 'good stuff' idea. I think it is a winner. It was a wonderful way to start my Saturday.

    Thank you.

  15. I'm trying to *will* fall here, myself.

I got a pedicure this week (YESSS!), and I chose a deep burnt orange color, almost in the brown family. It's so yummy!

And speaking of yummy, and fall, I took my girls to Panera for a special snack one morning. A lady came around with samples of their new pumpkin crunch bagel (not sure if that's the actual name, but that's what I think I'll call it)...heaven! I am sending Hubby for some in the morning!

  16. I'm not a fan of the "round up" as you're calling them. Years ago, I saw too many of my favorite blogs become commercial sites as these lovely ladies sold out to companies willing to pay them to talk about all these "great products that they use all the time!!!" You are about to have amazing success with your cookbook! Please dont turn to the dark side? I love your site too much to see that happen to you!

  17. Dear Anon...

I totally hear you. That's not what this is about. If you look above, these are just links to things I'm loving lately. No ads, no sponsored posts....just fun. :) I hope you'll like it. Thanks for the input, though. I get it and have seen some of the same things.

    Thanks for reading!
